Mothers' Club of Oakland

The Mothers’ Club of Oakland is a social, non-profit organization founded to benefit the youth of Oakland by supporting recreational and community programs. This organization was conceived in 1957 by a small group of concerned women who realized the need for additional equipment for the Oakland Recreation Programs. The very first project undertaken was to sponsor the cheerleaders and provide them with uniforms. Over the years, playground equipment, fences, graduation awards, library donations, athletic trophies, Safety Town t-shirts, basketball score boards and countless other items have been donated, or contributed to, by the Mothers’ Club.

We have several fundraisers trough out the year including sports apparel sales, the Oakland Magic basketball game, and our ever-popular Beach Party Dance. Membership is open to all women of Oakland. New members are always welcome. Please look for our announcements in the Oakland Oracle section of the Suburban News, or call Kathy Fahey at (201) 337-4755 for additional information.

Meetings are at 7:30 pm at the Danny D'Elia Recreation Building.
