Women's Club of Oakland

The Women's Club of Oakland, a non-political and non-sectarian organization, has served the community by promoting education, supporting public welfare, and striving for a higher moral and social standard. The Women's Club sponsors a high school junior to attend the Girls' Citizenship Institute at Douglas College, sponsors a high school sophomore to attend the Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation, and awards an annual scholarship to a high school senior. The Women's Club also sponsors the annual UNICEF drive and contributes to HOPE and CARE. The Women's Club has a Community Improvement Program that purchases equipment for Oakland's recreation fields each year.

Meetings are held at 8:00 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, from September to April, at the Senior Citizens Center. There is no meeting in January.
