Womans Club
of Oakland


  The Womens Club of Oakland, a non-political and non-sectarian organization has served the community by promoting education, supporting public welfare, and striving for a higher moral and social standard.

  The Womans Club sponsors a high school junior to attend the Girls' Citizenship Institute at Douglas College, sponsors a high school sophomore to attend the Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation, and awards an annual scholarship to a high school senior. The Womans Club also sponsors the annual UNICEF drive and contributes to HOPE and CARE.

  The Womans Club has a Community Improvement Program that each year purchases equipment for Oakland's recreation fields.

Meets: 8:00pm - 2nd Tuesday of each month from September to April at the Senior Citizens Center
There is no meeting in January
