Health Clinics & Programs

  • Oakland Free Adult Health Clinic - The Oakland Board of Health, in conjunction with Bergen County Department of Health Services, offers a free blood pressure screening and consultations with a registered nurse to Oakland residents age 18 and over on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, from 10 AM to 12 PM. The Adult Health Clinic is held at the Oakland Senior Center, 20 Lawlor Drive. No appointment is necessary. Should the Senior Center be closed for inclement weather, the Adult Health Clinic will be canceled. Contact the Senior Center at 201-405-7731 if you have any questions.

  • BERGEN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES CANCER SCREENINGS  - call 201-634-2660 to find out if you qualify for a free cancer screening. Women who qualify can get screened for breast, cervical & colorectral cancer and men who qualify can get screened for prostate & colorectal cancer.

The Cancer Support Community, formerly known as Gilda's Club, has partnered with Holy Name Medical Center to offer a variety of FREE programs and services to patients, regardless of where they are receiving treatment, survivors, caregivers, friends and family members, including healthy lifestyle classes, educational workshops, social events and support groups.  Go to the link above to learn more.
