Join the Borough of Oakland Shade Tree Commission for an Arbor Day Celebration on Thursday April 28, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at the Oakland Senior Center, 20 Lawlor Drive, Oakland, N.J. 07436.
This year marks the 150 Anniversary of the tree planter's holiday, Arbor Day, and the Borough is excited to celebrate with you. Join us for a presentation on the common trees of Oakland, and the adversities they face. Hear how our woods are changing due to invasive species, like garlic mustard and the spotted lanternfly, and the deer population.
Free tree saplings will be handed out to all attendees.
