Approved Coaches

The list below contains the Recreation Coaches who have completed the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. training program, Criminal Background check and Concussion Training.

Note: If you believe that your name should appear on this list, please contact the Oakland Recreation Aide (click here to email). This list will be updated weekly, or on an "as needed" basis.

If your name previously appeared on the Approved Coaches' list and no longer appears it may be due to your background check expiring.  Background check and fingerprinting must be renewed every 3 years. For questions contact Recreation Aide Rosa Kilpatrick (click here to email).

• Approved Coaches List as of  April 18, 2024, click attachment below, you will also see next to your name, when your background check will expire, so you will know when to renew!
• If you have been added to this list and do not have a current badge, please pick one up at the Recreation Office.
• Please do not wait until the last minute to redo your background check and fingerprinting!  You must be current before the season starts to coach. 

Please Note - You may have been on a previous list but are not listed anymore. Some Background Checks have reached the 3-year expiration. If you are one of them and wish to have a new background check, please follow step #2 of the "Three Easy Steps to Becoming a Coach" or contact Recreation Aide Rosa Kilpatrick (click here to email) for additional information.
