2024 TRAVEL SOFTBALL TRYOUTS
2024 Oakland Softball Travel Tryouts are here!

Tryouts start promptly at 6:00 PM, so please arrive at 5:45 to give yourself enough time to check in and warm up.
Tryouts will last no more than 2 hours. Your athlete will be evaluated on:
Fielding
Fly Balls
Hitting
Catching and Throwing
There will be time set aside during the 2nd 10U tryout for anyone interested in trying out for pitching or catching positions. Please be sure to make the evaluators aware if you are currently taking pitching and or catching lessons.
Same applies for 12U & 14U, but these position tryouts will take place during the 1st tryout session.
Please have your athlete dress as she would for any practice. Gear should include a bat, helmet, fielding glove, face mask, cleats, and water bottle.
There will be time allotted for water breaks between stations.

March 25 10U Indian Hills High School Softball Field
March 26 14U Oakland Recreation Complex Field 6
March 27 10U Oakland Recreation Complex Field 3
March 28 12U Oakland Recreation Complex Field 3
March 29 Good Friday OFF
March 30 12U (IF NEEDED) 1:00 Oakland Recreation Complex Field 3
3/4 Tryouts will be held on April 4 and April 6 (1:00 pm if needed)
Lastly – parents are welcome to stay and watch tryouts. All we ask is to please limit the contact you have with your daughter, as they will be getting plenty of instruction from the evaluators. In addition, for any tryouts that take place on Field 3, I please ask that all parents stay on the first base side of the field off the bleachers and down the right field line. Parents are not permitted in the dugouts.

14U - Can Not Be 15 Before 1/1/2024
12U - Can Not Be 13 Before 1/1/2024
3/4 Division - Must be in 3rd or 4th Grade this school year
8U - Can Not Be 9 Before 1/1/2024
