The 3rd annual festival organized by The Arts in Oakland Committee took place from June 9-11, showcasing a vibrant array of visual arts and captivating performances. The festival featured the fabulous visual art of local artist George Krane, whose works captivated the audience. In addition, Noel Gussen presented darker thought-provoking paintings, while Kim Niland showcased her skill with photography with her more light-hearted style.

Music of all genres filled the air, complementing the artistic atmosphere. Attendees were treated to captivating dance performances by Dance Theatre of New Jersey, engaging book reading by children's author  Courtney Carbone, and the delightful flavors of Bob O's award-winning cheesesteak food truck. Vilma Mirkov, from UPaint studio, held painting demonstrations outdoors under one of the park's big shady trees, while Tracy DiTolla added an extra touch of creativity with her face painting skills. This year, the festival introduced "Makers & Bakers" on Sunday, featuring a diverse range of artisans and culinary delights, such as Jackie's Breads and Bakes, Soulfully Vegan, TieDyes & Tutus, and Beads of Love, among others. Alexandra Mazur from Dragon Nest Jewelry impressed the crowd with her hand-made jewelry.

The festival commenced on Friday night with a grand opening of the Art Gallery in the lower level of Oakland's beautiful Library, setting the stage for a fabulous weekend. Saturday and Sunday were filled with incredible performances that left the audience wanting more! Virtuoso guitarist Mark Sganga showcased his mastery of the instrument, while Team K Taekwondo provided an impressive and most energizing demonstration of their skills, both leaving everyone inspired by their talents and dedication. The students of the Dance Theatre New Jersey delivered captivating performances, and the Real Brave Ambassadors rocked out in the park and local solo favorites Emily Kern, Amanda Masefield, and Shy Hopkins along with a host of others added their unique talents to the jam-packed weekend.

Many thanks are extended to all the participants and supporters who helped make this festival a resounding success, and helping to celebrate the arts in Oakland, providing an unforgettable experience for our town.
