NEW ORDINANCE #19-CODE-95 REQUIRES THAT INSPECTIONS PLACARDS BE READILY VISIBLE TO PUBLIC:
The Oakland Board of Health passed Ordinance #19-CODE-95 in October 2019, requiring that the inspection placard for New Jersey State Chapter 24 be posted in the entry window of food establishments in Oakland immediately after inspection. If there is no window, the placard must be placed in a conspicuous place near the public entrance. This provides a quick and easy way for patrons to know if the food establishment they wish to patronize has been deemed satisfactory by the Health Inspector.
