Borough of Oakland Announces Halloween COVID-19 Guidance

The Borough of Oakland wishes everyone a safe and Happy Halloween.
For Trick or Treaters:
- Porch/Outdoor Light On = Trick or Treat Here
- Porch/Outdoor Light Off = Maybe Next Year!
- Stay with your family or "pod".
- Practice social distancing (6 ft. apart).
- Stay in your immediate neighborhood.
- No migrating to the 'college section' of town.
- Do not enter someone else's home.
- Parents/guardians are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer/disinfectant along with them.
- Wear a cloth or surgical mask (costume masks do not count).
- Avoid trick or treating if you are not feeling well, have a fever, have been sick, have been in close contact with someone who may have or has COVID-19, or have returned from a quarantine listed state.
- Only accept candy if it is factory package sealed.
For Candy Givers:
- Porch/Outdoor Light On = Trick or Treat Here
- Porch/Outdoor Light Off = Maybe Next Year!
- Wear a cloth or surgical mask.
- Candy should be factory package sealed.
- Consider spreading treats out on a table or prepare individually sealed bags ahead of time to avoid hands in bowls.
- Limit treat choices.
- Maintain social distancing.
- Consider waving to kids from the door or 6 ft. socially distanced.
