Borough of Oakland Hosting Memorial Day Parade

Oakland, N.J. - May 17, 2022 - After a 2 year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Borough is excited to again have a Memorial Day Parade this year. This year's parade will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022 starting at 1:00 p.m. The parade route is from Dogwood Drive to Oak Street, along Ramapo Valley Road.

The parade includes but is not limited to Indian Hills High School Marching Band, Oakland Police Department, Oakland Fire Department, Oakland First Aid Squad, Essex Shillelagh Pipes and Drums, Crag Satchellis Dixie Marching Band, Military Vehicles, Antique Cars, and Local Organizations and Clubs.

The Oakland American Legion Post 369 will hold a formal Memorial Day Ceremony following the Parade at the Veteran's Park.  All are invited to attend.
