Borough of Oakland launches free Burbio.com app

The Borough of Oakland has launched an events platform for the community in partnership with Burbio.com, a free website, iPhone and Android app that puts government and community events in one easy to use digital service.
With Burbio.com residents can select calendars to follow, create a personalized event feed, sync events to their Google or Apple calendar and be notified when things change. Burbio is free for residents and free for non-profits to stream their events.
Residents can sign up by visiting Burbio.com or, on a smartphone, by selecting the Burbio app in the app store. After entering Oakland's zip code (07436), a resident can then select which calendars to follow.
