Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update 3/13/2020

In accordance with recommendations provided by the state and county, the Borough is implementing the following temporary changes regarding our facilities and programs in order to help curtail the possibility of community spread of COVID-19.

Library

The Oakland Pubic Library will be closed from Sunday, March 15th at 5pm until at least March 30th.  Digital services will still be available.  Please visit www.oaklandnjlibrary.org for further information.

Senior Services

All programs and events at the Senior Center will be cancelled from Monday, March 16th through Tuesday, March 31st.  However, the facility will remain open and staffed during this time period.  The Senior Bus will continue to run trips to ShopRite on Tuesdays. 

Recreation

All Oakland Recreation activities are suspended until at least March 30th.  This includes all games, practices, facility use, off-season training, meetings and use of the facility, including the tennis courts.  The Recreation Commission will be meeting again at the end of the month to determine whether activities may be resumed at that time.  Note that online sports registration will continue.  Visit www.oakland-nj.org/oakland-recreation  for further information and updates.

Municipal Court

Court sessions scheduled for March have been cancelled and will be rescheduled to a later date.  Call the Court office at 201-337-8140 ext. 2 for further information.

Public Presentation on COVID-19

The presentation scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th at 5:30 has been cancelled.
