NO KNOCK REGISTRY (New for 2019)

The Oakland Police Department is introducing a "No Knock Registry" for residents. This will prohibit solicitors, canvassers, and peddlers from entering your premises for the purpose of canvassing or soliciting. By completing the application, your address will be added to the registry. The Police Department will also provide you with a notice that you may display indicating the enlistment of your address on the No Knock Registry. The registry will be maintained by the Oakland Police Department and will be provided to any licensee who is issued a permit to solicit door-to-door pursuant to Borough Ordinance 4-1. Please understand the list does not prohibit solicitation by non-profit, charitable, religious, or political organizations. See B.O. 4-1.13 for a full list of exempted organizations.

Addresses will remain on the Registry until notification to the Oakland Police Department that the owner or occupant wishes to be removed.

Applications are available on the Oakland Police Department and Borough of Oakland websites or available at those locations for in person pick up.
