Road Work: Curb Replacements at Seminole Avenue

Road Work - 2021

Curb replacement construction is currently underway on Seminole Avenue between Oswego Avenue and upper Hiawatha Boulevard. During construction hours, traffic will only be allowed to flow northbound on Seminole Avenue in that area. Access to Heights Elementary School will be available from that side. All vehicles, including school busses, will be required to make a right hand turn and continue to the intersection of upper Hiawatha Boulevard when exiting the school.

Any vehicles traveling on Hiawatha Boulevard looking to access the top end of Seminole Avenue will be denied. There will be clearly marked “road closed” signs, as well as barricades, to indicate that this segment of the road is closed to vehicular traffic.

Also, please be advised that there may be pedestrians walking in the roadway due to the sidewalks being ripped up. We ask that motorists and pedestrians alike be cautious and cognizant of their surroundings. This traffic pattern will likely continue into next week with updates to be posted when they become available.

Police officers will be on scene to assist and facilitate the safe movement of traffic.
