TRAFFIC ADVISORY REMINDER – PAVING OF RAMAPO VALLEY ROAD AND BREAKNECK ROAD

Dear Residents,

Bergen County will be paving the remainder of Ramapo Valley Road and Breakneck Road starting next week, between the hours of 7am and 4pm. This work is necessary to maintain our transportation infrastructure for the safety and convenience of all.

Schedule and Affected Areas:

April 15th: Paving on Breakneck Road, from Longhill to the Wayne Border. Similar to the milling phase, through traffic will not be allowed.

Drainage System Remediation by Sanzari Construction Near the intersection of Ramapo Valley Road and Thunderbird Drive.

Sanzari Construction will continue their work on the drainage systems in the area. Preparatory activities are being undertaken at this time to avoid any need for road closures on Ramapo Valley Road on Monday. Sanzari construction will require one lane to be shut down, from approximately 8 AM - 4 PM to complete this portion of the project. 

April 16th: No Scheduled Roadwork for either of these projects

April 17th & 18th: Starting at the Mahwah border and moving south.

The paving activities scheduled for these days are expected to significantly impact local traffic, particularly during the paving portion. **Through traffic will not be permitted during these operations.** 

Important Reminders:

Local Traffic Only: Access will be granted to residents needing to reach their homes within the affected areas. All other motorists are required to follow the posted detour routes.

School Bus Routes: There will be no alterations to school bus routes during the project, ensuring uninterrupted access to education for our students.
