Borough of Oakland Hosting Drug Take Back Day

Oakland, N.J. - April 29, 2022 — Do you keep any unused prescription medications in your medicine cabinet? This is your chance to safely dispose of them.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, April 30, and the Borough of Oakland Police Department is organizing the opportunity to dispose of any unused and expired prescription drugs.
The initiative's goal is to help residents rid their medicine cabinets of opioid painkillers, in addition to any other unneeded prescription medications. The Borough of Oakland Police Department, located at 295 Ramapo Valley Road, will serve as a drop-off location on April 30 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
