The Sustainable Oakland Green Team is collecting the following at the Shop Rite of Oakland for recycling through Terracycle.
Look for the "Solo Cup Brigade" recycling box at the entrance of Shoprite Lobby.
- #6 rigid plastic cups
- Colored solo cups
- Clea drinking cups and 3oz. bathroom cups
In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure all leftover liquid has been removed. Once collected, the cups are cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycling products.
