TIME: 1:30PM – 3:30PM (by Appointment ONLY**)
PLACE: Ramapo Valley Animal Hospital, 347 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland
**REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT**
Appointments will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis once Registration opens in OCTOBER. Registration MUST include the following:
- Pets without proof of previous rabies vaccination AND unvaccinated pets are eligible to receive the 1-year vaccine. To request an appointment for the 1-year vaccine, an email must be sent to Health@oakland-nj.org containing the following information:
- Pet Owner’s Name, Address & Phone Number
- Pet’s Species, Age, Weight, Breed, Name, Sex, Spay/Neuter Status, Color
- Pets with proof of previous rabies vaccination will receive the 3-year vaccine if the pet is over 6 months old. To request an appointment for the 3-year vaccine, an email must be sent to Health@oakland-nj.org containing the following information:
- Pet Owner’s Name & Phone Number
- Copy of the Pet’s Most Recent Rabies Certificate. Certificates must be legible and contain all the following information: Pet Owner’s Address, Pet’s Species, Age, Weight, Breed, Name, Sex, Spay/Neuter Status, Color
- Registration information can also be sent by mail and MUST include the required information above, to the following address:

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT REQUEST
After your request for an appointment is received, you will receive an email from the Health Department during the last week of October with your appointment time. Please respond via email to confirm the time. If your request was sent through the mail, you will be contacted by phone to schedule your appointment.
ON CLINIC DAY, AT YOUR APPOINTMENT
Please abide by the following procedures:
- Please be on time, the clinic is usually fully booked
- Dogs must be on a leash
- Cats must be in a carrier
- Check-in is required with the Health Department at the check-in desk upon your arrival

Ramapo Valley Animal Hospital’s Dr. Duhr and staff are very generously donating their time and facilities to make this clinic possible. Your patience is greatly appreciated in allowing some leeway time at your appointment. As is the case when dealing with animals, unforeseen circumstances may be encountered despite every effort to maintain a timely process.
