TO DISPATCH ANIMAL CONTROL:
- Call the Oakland Police Department for:
- Sick, Injured, or Dangerous Animals, Stray Domestic Animals, Animal Bites, Animal Cruelty, Conflict Mitigation Situations, Carcasses on County-owned and Borough-owned Roadways and Properties:
- Emergencies: Call 911
- Non-Emergencies: Call 201-337-6171
- Sick, Injured, or Dangerous Animals, Stray Domestic Animals, Animal Bites, Animal Cruelty, Conflict Mitigation Situations, Carcasses on County-owned and Borough-owned Roadways and Properties:
- Removal of Dead Animals or Nuisance Animals on private property is the responsibility of the homeowner.
- Oakland has contracted with TYCO Animal Control for Animal Control Services.
MOSQUITO CONTROL INFORMATION
The following links provide information for when Bergen County sprays to control the mosquito population. Whenever a spray is scheduled, residents are advised to keep their windows closed.
