Recycling and Garbage Update

 The Borough is aware that Pompton Lakes did not pick up some residents’ co-mingled recycling today because the cans were too large.  Residents that were skipped should leave out their recycling and it will be collected before the holiday weekend.   All residents were notified last month that the maximum acceptable can size would be 45 gallons with a maximum weight of 60 pounds for recycling, garbage and yard waste. As an accommodation, Pompton Lakes will pick up oversized cans through the month of July.  However, residents using cans that exceed the 45 gallon / 60 lb. limit must replace them by Monday, August 3, 2026 to ensure their curbside solid waste is collected.
