Verse & Visual: Celebrating America 250 – Opening Reception
Join us for a special Opening Event of the Verse & Visual Art Show and Sale on April 2 from 5–7 PM at the Oakland Public Library.
In celebration of America 250, this inspiring evening will showcase local artists and their work—Browse or Buy!—while honoring our nation’s story through creativity and expression.
The evening will feature a special poetry reading by guest poets, adding powerful literary voices to this unique cultural experience. Guests will also enjoy light refreshments.
Presented by Arts in Oakland, the Borough of Oakland, and the Oakland Public Library, this event brings the community together to celebrate art, history, and American spirit. The Art will be on display through May 17, 2026 during regular library hours.
