Summer Camp Now Accepting 2021 Camp Counselor Applications - Due by Feb. 19th

Hello! I hope everyone is having a safe and healthy new year so far. We are in the midst of planning for camp this summer which will run from June 28-August 6, 2021 and are now accepting applications for new staff to join us for this upcoming summer.  The following are requirements for each position:

Volunteer (2 weeks, must be 12+ prior to the start of camp)

Junior Counselor (must be 14/15 prior to the start of camp)

Counselor (must be 16+ prior to the start of camp)

Open Camp Counselor (must be a high school graduate)

**Please note that applicants MUST have availability for all 6 weeks of camp**

Rather than filling out physical applications this year, applications can be submitted using the attached Google Forms. Applications are due by February 19th and interviews will be Sundays in March. An email regarding interviews will be sent out during the last week of February.

The Oakland Recreation Summer Camp is run seasonally for the children of the Borough of Oakland. We have a proud tradition of having the best staff and weekly events to make each summer unforgettable and the future summers something that everyone looks forward to. As school is out for the summer, we begin our exciting programs for grades K-5 and grades 6-9. Our k-5 campers attend the Oakland Recreation Summer Day Camp with programs and events that are conducted at the   recreation complex and Valley Middle School. Our sixth through ninth grade campers attend the Oakland Recreation Summer Open Camp. These campers travel to major theme parks, water parks, movies, etc. throughout New Jersey, New York , and Pennsylvania.
